《大幻母续》所出大幻母五众
肤色黑,四面四臂,正面蓝,右面黄,左面绿,背面白;右第一手执顶骨,左第一手执天杖,余二手执弓箭,六印严身,放射红光;怀中为空行佛母,肤色红,四面四臂,呈红、黄、白、绿四色,上二手执顶骨与天杖,并勾住阳体脖子,余二手执弓箭,周同有四空行母。有格格日巴的《大幻母成就坛城》、《大小成就法》。有贤德巴的《成就法》、《无身金刚成就法》 等。

The deity Mahamaya originates in the Sanskrit text of the Mahamaya Tantra and subsequently found in the Tibetan compilation collections of the Vajravali, Mitra Gyatsa, Rinjung Gyatsa and Rinjung Lhantab. Mahamaya is also regarded as a special deity of the Ngog lineage of the Marpa Kagyu Tradition. Within the Shangpa Kagyu School Mahamaya is included as one of the Five Tantra Deities (Gyu de lha nga) combined as a single meditation practice.
Mahamaya has four faces and four arms, blue in colour, embracing the consort Buddha Dakini. She also appears with four faces and four arms. Both figures hold an arrow, bow, skullcup and katvanga staff. In the Shangpa Kagyu, Vajravali and Mitra Gyatsa traditions the consort can also be depicted as red in colour. In the Mitra Gyatsa there is a one faced two-armed form of Mahamaya with consort. In all of these different traditions the central deity and consort are accompanied by four Dakinis, Surrounding the principal couple are four female figures, blue Vajra Dakini, yellow Ratna Dakini, red Padma Dakini and green Vishva Dakini, hence the name Mahamaya Five Deity Mandala.
在古印度, 阿阇黎温授和宝生静等人拥有若干大幻母法统。后来,由冠巴列泽译师和阿底峡尊者虽然进行了弘扬,但现在不复存在。玛尔巴前往印度,投师班智达.贤静名下,通学灌顶、续说和秘诀。经角色喜孜传奉玛尔巴,建立了大幻母法会。尤其鄂译师得到指示,推广其宗旨。觉囊.多罗那他作了续注。共有本续六千品,但藏族只有小续行世。在母续胜乐中,喜金刚与大幻母最为重要。孟加拉大成就者格格日巴从邬金学到此续,逐渐流传。依靠玛尔巴的恩典,才在藏区兴起。大幻母法有大幻母、金刚萨埵等。噶举派当作本尊,视为殊胜捷径。在噶举派和宁玛派方面,就续的诠释与实践法等各有千秋。大幻母象征万法空性。
