Choying Dorje (1604-1674 [P1382]) was a famous teacher of the Karma Kagyu (Kamtsang) Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and also famous as an artist - painting, metal casting and carving. There is a great deal of disagreement among modern scholars as to what is an authentic work by Choying Dorje and what is a later copy, or atelier workshop copy.
